(ACTS) A thermistor sensor that measures the temperature of the incoming air stream in the air filter or intake manifold and sends this information to the vehicle’s computer. It adjusts the engine parameters based on the air temperature, impacting functions such as the choke operation in carbureted engines and air injection for catalyst protection.
