The toe-in angle is the angle formed by each front wheel plane and the longitudinal axis of the car. It’s typically expressed as the difference in distance between the right and left wheel rims at the front and rear, measured at hub level.
When the front wheels are set with toe-in, it means that the front of the wheels are closer together than the rear of the wheels when viewed from above. This alignment angle helps maintain stability and straight-line driving by offsetting forces that tend to spread the wheels apart while the vehicle is in motion. Proper toe-in adjustment is essential for optimal handling, tire wear, and overall vehicle performance.
